Movement Standards:

The deadlift is the standard deadlift with the athlete’s hands outside of their knees.  The barbell will start on the floor and lifted until the athletes hips and knees reach full extension.  The shoulders will be behind the bar at the top of the lift and the athlete’s arms must be straight.  The athlete may touch and go but cannot bounce the barbell.

Pull up must start with the athlete hanging from the bar with arms fully extended. They may do these strict, kipping, or butterfly.  The arms must be fully extended at the bottom and the chin must break the horizontal plane of the bar at the top of the movement.

Chest to bar pull up must start with the athlete hanging from the bar with arms fully extended. They may do these strict, kipping, or butterfly.  The arms must be fully extended at the bottom and the chest must clearly touch the pull up bar below the collarbone at the top of the movement.

Bar Muscle Ups must start with the athlete hanging from the bar with arms fully extended. The rep is complete when the athlete is supported above the bar with the arms fully extended.

Jumping Pull Ups must start with the athlete hanging from the bar with arms fully extended with feet in contact with a surface beneath them. Using both hands and starting with arms fully extended, jump and pull up until their chin breaks the horizontal plane of the bar.

Row calories are counted on the Concept 2 rowing machine.  The athlete must reset the computer to zero before starting the event.

Burpees over bar will require the athlete to touch their chest to the ground and then hop over the bar. The rep is complete when the athlete has jumped over the bar. The athlete does not have to raise their arms and they certainly don't have to clap but clapping and hand raising is strongly encouraged and in the event of a tie the athlete with the most style will prevail. Full extension is not required when jumping over the bar

Assault Bike involves athletes pedaling like a straight up savage until they hit the required calorie number.

Dumbbell Hang Clean begins with the dumbbells in the hang position. The athlete must move the db to the shoulders after passing through a full squat.

Rope climbs will be performed on a 15' rope. Rope climb starts with the athlete on the ground.  The athlete must touch the cross beam supporting the rope to complete the rep.  If they are legless, no legs may be used.  Walk ups start with the athlete laying on the floor and walking their hands up to the tape mark. The knees and hips must remain extended during a walk up.
